Truly Sustainable Farming:
As you are aware, we pride our self on being a sustainable business. Following a Carbon Footprint assessment last year, we decided we needed to make some changes to our operations to provide the most sustainable approach to Caviar farming.
Here’s somethings we’ve done to reduce our Carbon Footprint:
Through implementing the above. KC can supply Caviar that is sustaining wild Sturgeon populations but is also helping sustain the planet.
A New Hope:
Over the past several years, we have sold out of Caviar every year. Which obviously means people will be going elsewhere and buying Caviar from companies who continue to slaughter their fish to harvest the eggs or even supply (Faux Caviar) tiny balls of herring meat died black! So, we have created a scheme which will not only expand the E&S Caviar industry but allow KC to have a continuous supply of Ethical and Sustainable Caviar. We are now taking applications to allow people the opportunity to have their own No-Kill Caviar farm.
This scheme is quite simple, for a one-off set-up fee, we will provide the initial holding tank, all the equipment and 500 Sturgeon fry on the new farmers premises. Over the next 8 years the fry will grow (needing more tank space) and mature into production ready fish. At this point we would send a specially adapted vehicle and team of KC staff to the premises to extract the eggs and put the eggs into maturing jars, ready for decanting.
The beauty about this new scheme is that farmers wouldn’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds to set up equipment which KC already has on hand. Also, we have forecast that farmers will be able to make nearly £500k within in the first 10 years of business, from very little outlay.
Another big plus is that it provides us with the stocking capacity to begin supplying a continuous stock to supermarkets again, in just a few short years. By working together, we can prove to the world that Ethical is always best, reduce the need for Caviar from killed fish and ultimately, save the wild Sturgeon from extinction.
Saving the best till last:
We are thrilled to announce that last year KC produced the first Ethical and truly sustainable Osietra Caviar in the world. Gueldenstaedtii Sturgeon produce one of the rarer Caviar’s on the market, Osietra. With our Ethical approach, this truly high-end Caviar can be produced with a clean, fresh finish.
However THIS year, 2025 KC will have Beluga Caviar which is being produced using our Ethical and Truly Sustainable process at amazingly low prices.
Full details will be announced as soon as the Caviar is available for sale.
Finally, we want to take this opportunity to thank every one of our existing customers for your continued support of our efforts to help give the wild Sturgeon a fighting chance at survival.
